We are fortunate to have a wealth of experience at MTW and can also offer instruction in advanced riding techniques to allow you to become a safer, more confident rider.
Motorcycle Training Wales supports the national Bikesafe initiative run in partnership with Police forces and local Authorities. It comprises a mix of classroom input and assessed rides by serving Police riders or ROSPA gold permit holders. The courses are generally conducted on a weekend period and are heavily subsidised by local authorities and represents the best value you will find in the post test training market.
Following on from Bikesafe, Neath Port Talbot road safety team took the unprecedented step of organising instructor training with the North West Ambulance trust to qualify a handful of instructors to deliver the recognised FBOS (First bike on scene) course.
Neath, Port Talbot local authority in partnership provide this essential and valued first aid training for bikers through a one day course which is heavily subsidised demonstrating their commitment to making road safety a priority on the roads of South Wales.
The most recent initiative covering Neath Port Tabot, Swansea Carmarthen and Pembrokeshire is the Dragon rider. This is a partnership initiative utilising DVSA Post test registered instructors to deliver Post test motorcycle Training in accordance with the Enhanced Rider Scheme. On successful completion of this one day classroom and rider training course you will be graded and a certificate is issued that could save you money on your insurance. Dragon rider is subsidised by the local Authority and allows affordable access to some of the best qualified motorcycle instructors in the country all training to a National Standard.
